Over 13k fresh Covid cases, toll up by 344

India’s daily Covid caseload crossed the 13,000-mark for the first time when 13,124 people tested positive for the virus even as the number of casualties returned to the 300-plus level on Wednesday, a day after the country had added the highest number of deaths, 2003, to its cumulative toll.
