Centre may extend lockdown as several states pitch for it

While a final decision on the lockdown is expected nearer the deadline, the current thinking appears inclined towards prolonging most restrictions — especially those aimed at enforcing social distancing. The likelihood of lifting the lid on mass transit and on inter-state movement of people appears remote.
