The victim Vivek's family had claimed that the first FIR lodged was weak as it did not name the accused cops. Also, it was alleged that the police wrote the FIR on their own and later made Sana, the lone eyewitness and ex-colleague of Vivek, sign it. Vivek was allegedly killed by two constables for refusing to stop during a routine checking.
